Stitch a Wren

Create your own gorgeous, freestanding wren in your choice of colour. Starting with supplied precut pattern pieces you will build (stitch stuff and wire) your bird’s body.  Its unique personality will emerge as you add your own fabrics to form wings and markings and tail.

You will be carefully guided through the construction process as these cheeky little birds are a little more complex than they may appear at first glance.  As your wren will be entirely stitched by hand you will need basic hand sewing skills.

​Duration: 6 hrs

Stitch a Chook

Create a gorgeous, freestanding chook in your choice of colour in this 2 day workshop. A basic pattern will be provided. Once the basic form is created you will add details (feathered ruff, wings, wattle and comb, beak etc) to create a truly unique bird.. Chooks can be entirely hand stitched or some machine stitching can be used to form the body!

Hand stitching skills required

​Duration: 10 - 12 hrs

Textile Seascapes

Create a small original collaged textile seascape using paper, fabric, paint and stitch. 

Most materials for this workshop will be included however if you wish to bring your own fabric or other materials you are welcome to do so. Experience with free motion stitching is required.

Workshop Cancellation Policy

Individual Bookings:

If you have booked and cannot attend, you may send a friend to take your place. Please advise asap so I can transfer the booking into their name. If you are unable to find someone to attend in your place the class may need to be cancelled. If you cancel due to illness at short notice every effort will be made to transfer your booking to another similar class at a later date. If this is not possible then the refund amounts below apply.

Group Bookings:

A minimum number of bookings is required for the class to go ahead. If this is not reached by the time negotiated the class will be cancelle

Refund policy – cancellation of booking with no substitute:

  • more than 1 month before – 75% of fee,

  • 2 -4 weeks before – 50% fee,

  • less than 2 weeks before – 25% fee paid,

  • less than 24hrs – no refund.  .

The workshop requires a minimum number of participants to go ahead, Any class that does not meet the minimum requirement will be cancelled. Participants will be notified at least 48 hours before the start of the class or workshop and will be offered a transfer into the next available class or receive a refund or credit towards another class.

If the workshop cannot be facilitated due to a COVID 19 Lockdown/illness/ Catastrophic Fire Days it will be postponed to a later date.
